About

Who We Are

Children in Need Globally, Inc.(CING) is a non-profit organization incorporated in the United States for the purpose of helping children in small villages around the world. We are beginning with villages in Vietnam, to help build bridges for the children who must cross wide, deep canals to go to school and work daily in the rice paddies, usually carrying backpacks and mopeds. Many children cannot swim and drowning becomes a real danger.

Why start with Vietnam?

We are saving lives through bridges that are substantial enough for the children to cross over to the rice paddies, carrying their mopeds, backpacks, and other gear. Many of these children cannot swim, and therefore some die in the effort to do the work they are assigned by their families to do.

It is a simple thing. Crossing a canal. But it is not simple with heavy bikes and mopeds on their shoulders, necessary for when they arrive and leave. These simple bridges must be designed, supplies bought, and labor secured to build them. We are hoping, with fundraising, to build better, more secure bridges.

CING works with a local Vietnamese non-profit that secures the design, materials, labor and quality of the bridges.

No religious or government association is involved in saving the lives of these children. This is entirely a non-profit charity, not under government.

CING also purchases school supplies, rice, and some health care for these small villages. We hope to do more in these areas as the bridges are built.

We know of no other organization helping in these small villages, Please read Cathy’s story (FOUNDER) for how this all got started.
